Allied Health

The Allied Health team offer a range of services for clients both remotely and in Mansfield.

Working with individuals and their families to improve their ability to perform activities ('occupations') that children, adolescents and young adults need and want to do in their everyday lives. These include:

Self-care skills (dressing, feeding, sleeping, toileting)

Regulation and skills

School performance

Fine & gross motor skill development

Sensory processing and sensory regulation

Independent Living Skills

At Mansfield Autism we offer:

Functional capacity assessments for NDIS

Sensory assessments and profiling

Visual- Motor Skill Assessments

Handwriting Assessments

Consultations & parent training

Working with individuals and their families to develop functional communication skills which in turn can lead to improved self-confidence, a greater sense of belonging in the community and overall enhanced quality of life.

At Mansfield Autism we offer:

Language, speech and communication assessments

Support with receptive and expressive communication

Support with social communication and interaction skills

Consultations & parent training

Assistance in implementing robust and functional communication approaches through the use of a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies.

Allied Health Assistants work alongside the Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist and are based at the Mansfield farm.

For Mansfield based clients, our therapists develop and oversee a therapy plan that is delivered by our trained allied health assistants. Allowing for regular intervention to meet client NDIS goals.

We offer a range of service delivery options to meet the needs of participants and families, including:

Therapy sessions in Mansfield

Telehealth appointments

Parent and caregiver consultation

School and kindergarten consultation

Capacity building and training for support teams

Limited outreach services may be available to regional communities. Availability depends on therapist capacity, participant demand within the area, travel requirements and available funding.

Our therapists and assistants are specialists in autism and have a unique understanding of the complex needs of our clients.
