Essential information
Here are a few things you’ll need to know about the school at Mansfield Autism.
School hours
Our school hours are 9am to 3pm.
Drop off and pick up are at those times, because our school doesn’t provide before or after school supervision.
School uniform
We do not have a uniform, however students will need to dress according to occupational health and safety and sun safety requirements. We ask that all students wear functional clothing. All our programs are active and require freedom of movement and clothing needs to be fit for purpose.
Our dress code requirements are:
Shoes for walking (sneakers, boots)
T-shirts or long sleeve tops
Shorts or skirts with some length
Broad brimmed hat
Rashie for swimming

Enrolment
In order to attend our school, students must live within daily travel of Mansfield.
The enrolment process will go something like this:
- Submit a referral form through our website.
- Families will receive an email requesting families to complete a referral form and to provide a copy of the child’s autism diagnosis.
- Families will be invited to an access interview and visit our school for a tour to meet with the principal or assistant principal to learn more about the school and our services.
- We will ask families to provide all relevant information and reports relating to the student to help us determine educational needs and best fit.
- We may arrange a trial visit or to visit the student in their current educational setting.
- If the enrolment criteria has been met and we have space available, we will make an offer of enrolment.
