Our farm

Therapeutic care farm

In late 2024 we achieved our dream and opened our new 100 acre therapeutic care farm (affectionately known as ‘the farm’). We now provide our supports and services in a natural environment, with all the therapeutic benefits of being in nature.

The farm is based on the outskirts of Mansfield and has lots of wildlife and native trees and plants, as well as a vegie garden and a range of buildings. Everything is purpose built to provide a safe, supportive and calming environment.

Our 100 acre farm is home to:

Twelve retreat cabins

where families stay for our Stronger Families program and Carer Retreats; three-bedroom, two-bathroom houses all with views of Mt Buller.

  • All lights and blinds are controllable by the master bedroom
  • Every building is fully accessible.
  • Designed to provide parents with flexibility and peace of mind – external doors can be locked, drawers are lockable, TV not on display, etc.

Three residential houses

from which we deliver skill building stays, independent living program and respite and outreach.

  • Set up to provide a controlled, safe and predictable environment to lower anxiety
  • Each client has their own private room and shares a bathroom and living room with only one other.
  • Safe and accessible kitchens and bathrooms where children can learn new skills

Two bedroom ‘pods’

from which we offer respite and crisis care.

A Multipurpose Activity Centre

The MAC includes offices, an activity centre and a commercial kitchen. The MAC dining room is the central hub, has a fireplace roaring during winter and good, healthy food all year round.

It also has a 60m x 30m undercover area that provides all weather outdoor space for recreation and activities – eventually this will be our equine assisted therapy space.

A high country-style hut

that offers a relaxing space to meet and connect. It has indoor and outdoor fireplaces and beautiful views of Buller.

A new school building

with five modern classrooms, a sensory play area and offices. The central observation room has one way windows to the classrooms to make it possible for parents and other professionals to observe the implementation of strategies.

A walking track

that goes around the perimeter of the property with beautiful views of the surrounding area.

The Friday Foundation Garden

where we grow vegetables, flowers and herbs.

Lots of trees, kangaroos, ducks, wombats, fish and other wildlife. Farm animals coming soon!

In 2025 we are finishing the landscaping and settling into our new home.

Over the coming years we will expand our gardening and animal care programs to offer to autistic children, young adults and their families.

How can you make a lasting difference for autistic people and their families?
